This upcoming school year, 100% of our teachers will be AVID trained and ready to use all the AVID skills in their classrooms!

Our scholars truly enjoyed their time with Bob from Why Things Fly! Students in 3rd, 4th and 5th made rockets and our kinder, 1st and 2nd grade students made kites.

Ochoa has been recognized as an 'A' school by the Arizona Department of Education for the 2023-2024 school year!

Wednesdays are Garden Days at Ochoa! Our students are planting cucumbers, corn and watermelon. Our chickens are spoiled and well taken care of. Students observe the process of planting seeds, sprouting and enjoying the end result! They also check on and do some maintenance of the worm bins made awhile back. Ochoa's MTSS Facilitator Kira Moore-Rendon was recognized as Junior Achievement's 2025 Education Partner of the Year! Ms. Kira was selected because of her outstanding support of JA programs and how she goes above and beyond for JA Day staff and volunteers. Congratulations!

Ochoa celebrated earning an 'A' letter grade by bringing together students and staff for a fun and unique photo on our field!
