School Photos - Literacy Night
Ochoa's Literacy Night was a success! Students and families had fun at the engaging stations filled with games and activities, and meeting their amazing teachers. Thanks to the 20 AVID high school students and a University of Arizona professor who volunteered to make the event extra special! The purpose of the event was to create a sense of community coming together for a shared goal—promoting the long-term importance of literacy for academic and personal success.

Diane Carrillo, a dedicated teacher at Ochoa Elementary, received a heartwarming surprise during the morning announcements when her parents and representatives from the Arizona Bowl arrived to reveal that she had been nominated and won $1,000 for her exceptional teaching. Her commitment to her students and the joy she brings to the classroom made her a truly deserving recipient of this wonderful award. Congratulations Ms. Carrillo!
