School Photos - Research Visit
Three researchers from western Japan are visiting Tucson to explore early childhood education, focusing on nature-based and STEM programs. During their visit to Ochoa Elementary, they took a tour of Dr. Jung’s robotics program and the garden and ecology program. The visiting researchers include Chiharu Obata and Eric Des Marais, Associate Professors at Okayama Prefectural University and Takashi Yamamoto, Professor at Seinan Gakuin University.

Diane Carrillo, a dedicated teacher at Ochoa Elementary, received a heartwarming surprise during the morning announcements when her parents and representatives from the Arizona Bowl arrived to reveal that she had been nominated and won $1,000 for her exceptional teaching. Her commitment to her students and the joy she brings to the classroom made her a truly deserving recipient of this wonderful award. Congratulations Ms. Carrillo!
